its an interesting and very very difficult question.
On the creation of consciousness one of the points I find most interesting is whether we could ever explain why experience is the way it is. Take for example the color red. We have a good understanding of how interactions between external stimuli of a certain wavelength and our eye send signals to our brain to produce the color red.
Of course a natural question is why red appears to us the way it does. Pondering over this question inevitably leads to a dead end. No matter how much we understand the process by which we obtain a sensation, we'd never understand why it arises. Even if we simply label it as emergent phenomena from the system would not help explain why. Read the wiki page on the "really hard problem of consciousness." It gives a good summary of the dilemma. (esp. Leibiniz's quote). Hard problem of consciousness - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

Whether or not you agree with the conclusions in Daniel Dennett's book, he makes a very astute stab at the subject.

what do you thnk? | Genetics and experience (ie, nature and nurture).

Are you suggesting you may exist again based on the right genetics and experience? |

Yes. Definitely.
I could, for instance, be cloned; but unless my clone had an identical life experience (impossible, as many of the people who have had a significant impact on my life would be dead, or at least a lot older, and therefore not really the same people they were when I first knew them), it would not be *me*. |

it still scratched the experience part. I mean could i have developed not to see through my own conciousness or another. Or is it only an illusion? |

But then that would still be your consciousness rite? It all comes back down to the nature of experience, how and more importantly, why it arises. The why part is extremely difficult (i feel kinda impossible) to answer. |
