If anyone was actually "outraged" by this then they're obviously idiots. If however by "outraged" the gutter press mean slightly irked and unprepared to put up a poster in their own store they don't like, then probably about a dozen folks in Dundee were outraged.

Just btw, I live in Scotland and the first time I saw this story was on DP, it's a ridiculous non-story dragged up by a scummy, senastionalist rag. I now see it's found its way around the right wing American blogosphere, nice to know you guys care

The difference is that, IMO, more Muslims are actually outraged when their religious leaders tell them to than Christians when their leaders tell them to.

Christians get outraged at Abortion (defending what they believe to be murder - not such a bad thing even if one disagrees that abortion is murder.)
They get outraged at not teaching the Bible in school and the deChristianization of America by other religions attacking them.

All in all, quite different.

Infinite Chaos

When I first came across this story it was a Muslim advisor to Tayside police who thought that the poster would insult Muslims. A singular entity - not all the muslims in Scotland and not even the Muslims living in Tayside - who took his or her PC correctness job too far and unfortunately the police took his advice. There was no outrage as far as I know and certainly not the blanket outrage that the Daily Mail (also known as the "Hate Mail") told us.


If you read the Scotsman article - you'll get all the facts, not just the story pimped up by the Daily Mail. You'll even get the over-zealous PC advisor to the Tayside Police dept's name.
