How about if the job required a uniform? Or work on the sabbath? |
the example you stated happened
Hair salon row | Muslim woman sues | Claiming £30k | Bushra Noah | The Sun |HomePage|News
I know its the sun but its basically right though i think she only got 4k.
I dont think you can legislate discrimination against religion for a start their is too many.
Secondly if an employer directly discriminates against a black guy it would not be very difficult for him to prove he is black.Religions have rules that could benefit them and religious people in the vast majority dont strictly follow these rules.
You can take your personnel opinions from religion but once you have they are your opinions employers have the right to judge you on your opinions.
All this said im against all the discrimination employment laws if im an employer and my rivals are racists and not employing any very well qualified non whites i will in employ them and put my competitors out of business.
