Interesting study. Although, I doubt the study was taken in good conscience, or in good measure. You can't measure happiness, or at least its one hell of a difficult task to. Does the article say exactly what the procedures were?

Religious people are deluded into happiness by allowing themselves to be lead about by the snout about tall tales and moral metaphores that all lead them to believe that they are going to spend eternal happiness after they die rather than understanding and accepting the truth that nobody knows what will happen and that people most likely just die and become worm food, and at the very least, our atomic energy might carry a consciousness with it as some form of reincarnation.

As long as their delusions keep them from slipping into depression and/or suicide. Thats a good thing! Yay for religion!
