Due to all the mindless leftists out there fabricating ****...there is at least a reason to question the veracity of their claims. Its not like it would be the first time. In the last few weeks even.

There is no great mystery to Islam. What you see as complicated is simply overthought in desperation to make excuses and ignore the core message of Islam.

Prove it. Seriously. Why can't you just take their gesture at face value? Instead, you craft a conspiracy theory with no evidence to support it. Provide that evidence.

Neither will Christianity as a matter of absolute doctrine. But religion is a practice engaged by human beings. The OP is a clear example of Muslims being tolerant.

DO you take it on face value that President Elect Trump is honorable in his intent to make America great for ALL Americans?

I think employing skepticism is healthy...especially in an incident involving an organization...a SPECIFIC organization...that has a history of fabricating hate crimes.

I liked the anecdote, because it asks the same questions I've had for decades. I don't think it's Western religions that have been so dismissive, but Westerners themselves in there obvious superiority over all the "savages" they encountered as began exploring the world. But, I also see that changing in the form of ubiquitous multiculturalism, which you might think is all to the good. Unfortunately it has a fatal flaw. Multiculturalism seems to have as a core tenet acceptance without first vetting. For a perfect example just look at the number of posters who reflexively defend Islam without really knowing anything about it. I was once one of them, but then I made the politically incorrect mistake of reading the Qur'an and discovering the horror that it is. It is the ultimate 'us against them' doctrine, and it has reawakened after centuries of dormancy to give us AQ, ISIS, Boko Haram, etc.

Well, the first article is legit. What apparently happened is that a crime was committed, and it was investigated to see if it was a hate crime. Further investigation showed the guy was mentally ill

The second link is .. well, a bad source. I wouldn't trust them for their primary focus (investment) , much less politics or religion.

The second link cites the first story...verbatim. What you DON'T like is the source includes a whole list of falsified reports of hate crimes...all of which are easily verified with a quick google click. Fact of the matter is that that source has more credibility than you. The story cited in that source is correct...isnt it?

This mosque holds an outreach to spread a message of tolerance because they saw they got hate mail, and you're response: They probably made it up so they could look like victims.

Don't point to unrelated cases. Prove your allegation.

THere are certain sources that are not worth even clicking on, INvestors.com is one of them. Frontpage magazine is another. The Washington times is a third.

What I said is that there is significant enough history to be skeptical. And Ive shown that to be true.
