How do atheists live with themselves......

I believe they make do by employing a complete, and utter failure care.

To be fair, how do we Christians live with ourselves using the name of false gods every time we mention a day of the week?

We Christians make sure everyone knows who is most high. :)

That did make me chuckle.

Fortunately fellow Christians know what I meant.

I think everyone knew what you meant, even the atheists, but were just making a little tongue-in-cheek joke.

I think he knows that as evidenced by his comment that it gave him a chuckle.

How do the religious live with themselves knowing that so many gods have been imagined and forgotten by history? The evolution of religious ideas is evident in much of our history and culture. Yet, incredibly, most people still choose to believe that their own subjective sky man is the one "true" god, not a product of cultural evolution. The religious are like the joke about the guy who thinks he's a cow. He's in no hurry to find a cure because his family needs the milk.

So, imagining that you're special or saved or blessed because you choose to pretend that the correct deity exists is the milk in this metaphor and the cow is whatever you imagine is sitting on the cloud approving of you.

The sad truth is that the religious have never had an intellectual standard for their claims and still don't, it's a purely emotional need. What's worse is that they mock atheism in the process, cementing their delusion in conflict. Even if god isn't real, the blood spilled in his name is. That's enough for them.

I know how Wiki works. That doesn't mean there are no citations, or that the article is untrue. So I ask you to identify what is untrue about it. I'll tell you the likelihood is zero.

The title and OP question would be better asked of the religious, not the non-religious.

One day at a time, man. One day at a time.

Fortunately for me I do worship the Greek Gods. It must be really hard for all of you.

Well, the first thing is that Atheists deny that God exists, so that's a big problem.

They should demand that the names of the days of the week be changed, or provided a safe space.

Well as long as you're using wikipedia for a source that questions it's own entry, we'll know what this thread is all about.

I don't deny, I say that I have yet to see proof of the existence of any god.
