To all Christians who think that they are being persecuted in America[W:610]

So what you are saying is that it is illegal not to hire a convicted child molester who served his time at a daycare center because he once molested a child? Or is it ok to discriminate sometimes as long as the Federal government says it's appropriate?

as far as I know convicted child molesters are registered as sex offenders and arent allowed to work with children

but to answer what I think your question is . . . it is totally legal to not hire a child molester to work at a day care.

This is what is known as a 'straw man' argument. Do try to be honest.

It is completely legal to refuse to hire people for many reasons. It is not legal to refuse to hire people for certain, specific reasons, race, sex, religion, and some few others. And it isn't just the federal government. There is a base set of characteristics set by the federal government but many states and local governments added characteristics. The people wanted those added.

Are Christians being persecuted in the US? If hate and persecution means being proven incorrect, illogical, or both.. then definitely. The reality of the idiocy in most belief systems (not just Christianity) is too much for most people to psychologically deal with, since a belief system is an extension of their ego. But Christians, especially the fundies, have an exclusive belief system. Those who do not believe in Christ spend an eternity in hell. Then Christians get mad when people question their beliefs or want to debate. Saint Peter was crucified upside down, but tell a Christian his or her beliefs are wrong: persecution. Give me a break.
