So, I read the article. I have a few points in response.
First, the grammar leaves something to be desired. Normally, I don't quibble over such matters, but in this case, it's bad enough so as to leave some question about what the author means. For example, the author writes "the relentless
sick of Mammon for the sake of Mammon." "Sick" is an adjective located where there should be a noun. Does the author mean "sickness"? Is it a typo for "slick"? Can't tell, and what's worse, neither of those options really make the phrase make any sense. Generally speaking, the piece starts out articulate enough, and then drifts into a bunch of pseudo-sentences that don't make much sense.
Second, as a Jew, the author may have an overblown sense of the amount of influence Judaism has on American politics. Oh, sure, there are Jews in high places--just as there are Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc. This fact is not sufficient to establish the author's apparent point. Only if those Jews are in some way participating in some conspiracy, or at least guiding policy according to some common goals, does the author have a point, and he presents no evidence that Jews are doing so. As a group, it should be no wonder that Jews generally want the U.S. to support Israel and Jews wherever they happen to be. It's also no wonder that Jews fear anything that looks like even a baby-step towards another holocaust. None of this implies that progressive Jews fear that hard-working, non-Jewish Americans will figure out that they're in control, secretly guiding the nation towards some vaguely menacing date with Mammon.
Third, from the article:
But do they have reason? Has anyone mentioned expelling the Jews? Or curtailing Jewish power? Not at all. The progressive fear of the so-called ‘reactionary’ is fuelled by a deep understanding that the American past was indeed greater than the progressive present – the tyranny of correctness, the identitarian dictatorship and, more than anything else, the lack of a future that is attached to Mammonism – the relentless sick of Mammon for the sake of Mammon.
I'm not so sure things were ever better for white people than they are now, but leaving that point aside, there is no question that things were significantly worse for non-white people whenever this pre-Jewish-suzerainty utopian past is supposed to have occurred (I get the impression it is nebulously conceived to have been 1948-1970 or so). It's therefore not clear that a return to such times is desirable or morally acceptable.
