Who believes in freedom from religion?

I believe in the US constitution. The SCOTUS usually gets things right, however not always. Sometimes we end up with activist justices who interpret the law based on their own partisan politics rather then by the US Constitution.
In other words they're right until they disagree with you.

Out of curiosity, did you complain when they voted straight down party lines in the 2000 presidential election, Florida debacle?

Good luck with that. I have been hearing the libruls claiming it won't be there for long for decades.
Like I also said, they may just keep it for history's sake. Treasury spends millions extra just to keep our money green. It would be cheaper and easier to make multi-colored money that deters counter-fitting but green is kept because it makes it more obviously US currency, which seems to be especially important overseas.

I think I mentioned this earlier but you'll note they haven't remodeled the SCOTUS courtroom, yet, either, nor do I expect them to do that.

SCOTUS supported slavery. Is that a case of them being right until they disagreed? Or is it a matter of them getting it wrong?

I do. I feel if you do not want to be proselytized to or pressured to participate in prayers or services then you should be free from it. You should not be compelled to look at religious imagery and your children should not be approached on topics of spirituality or faith without your consent. I believe the government and its officials should serve the public without invoking matters of faith, and those incapable of those duties should resign.

Does anyone disagree?

Yes, I do. Although I consider myself religious.

It's simply a matter of necessity in a free country, where people of different faiths or no faith have to live peacefully together.

Just like I believe in my right on freedom of religion -- to be free to practize my faith, without prosecution or disturbance by the government --, I do believe the same applies to my fellow countrymen of a different or no faith.

If I want others to respect my faith, I have to return that favor, simple as that.
