So bad people like child rapists go to heaven if "they believe" and others who do good works who don't believe go to hell?

You are correct Rev, if anyone, regardless of the sin, repents and accepts Jesus into their heart, they are saved. This is as the bible states.

Take it easy on him Jerry. I think the language barrier is hard on him, and that he feels that such sites are evidence if you will. I appreciate his ardour, but can't get him to realize that arguing faith against empirical reasoning is near impossible.
