Louisiana A.G. Buddy Caldwell(D) has joined the suit filed by the Florida A.G. against the coverage mandates in the health bill.

Caldwell is the only Democrat attorney general so far to join in the suits, and in an additional twist:

In the Senate on Tuesday, U.S. Sen. David Vitter, R-Metairie, filed an amendment to the reconciliation act approved by the House that would, in effect, repeal the new law. The reconciliation legislation seeks to iron out differences between the House and Senate versions of health care reform.

Mr. Caldwell declined to comment on specifics at this time, but has appointed a spokesman to answer media questions.

My commentary: Folks, this just got interesting.

As an aside, I don't remember who I voted for in that election for A.G but think it was for Mr. Caldwell, either way this suit goes I respect his honesty, opinion, and integrity. Way to go!
