MARYVILLE, Tenn. – East Tennessee police said a Knoxville woman who was later arrested for cocaine possession initially told an officer that she had been eating a powdered doughnut. The Maryville Daily Times reported that a 21-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday and charged with possession of a Schedule II substance with intent to sell or deliver. She was also cited for driving on a suspended driver's license, driving without proof of insurance, failure to maintain her lane of traffic and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to an Alcoa police report, a field test on the substance indicated that the white powder she put in her mouth as an officer approached the car was cocaine, not a sugary pastry.

She was being held in the Blount County Jail on a $12,250 bond pending a court hearing on Monday.

Her big mistake? Claiming that the powder around her mouth was from a sugary donut. Sorry to say it, but that lady is a complete dumbass, for thinking that she could slip this one by the cops. If cops are experts at anything, it is definitely donuts.

Dan! an entire thread for this one liner? Your standards are lowering!

Well, if I had posted just the one liner, I would have been infracted for a BN violation, so here is what I did:

1) Posted a piece from the article, about the lady attempting to pull a fast one on cops, who are rigorously trained in pastry recognition.

2) Posted a link to the donut article.

3) Posted my comments on why attempting to fool a cop over donut ingredients is foolhardy.

4) The article is less than 48 hours old, or in cop language, 8 donuts old.

The thread passes the test for Breaking news, but after this post, I suspect that it might just be moved now, and if it ends up in the Basement, Lerxst is going to kick my ass.
