Do United Auto Workers realize they are just like AIG executives?

United Auto Workers receive their payment structures and pensions based on the contracts they have with GM, Ford, Chrysler, etc.

AIG executives receive their bonuses based on their contracts, too.

If either filed bankruptcy, they'd forfeit those contractual compensation plans.

Question: Do union workers who are pissing and moaning over the AIG bonus payouts realize that they have the same structured deals themselves?

And do Democrats realize that it's Obama's guy, Gaithner, who put together the AIG bailout plan to begin with?
