Oil Slammed as Crude Inventories Jump

Because there have been more than normal winter closures of refineries on the east coast, hence the gas price spike because the common notion is that it takes much much longer to bring a refinery back online than it does to shut it down.

This has been detailed in the last few EIA weekly petroleum reports.
