Ron Paul for president

Would you vote for Ron Paul for President?

Maybe a Paul/Duke ticket or Paul/Paul or Paul/Bachmann or Paul/Christie any of those I would enjoy.

Wait a minute... you are supporting David Duke, ex-grand wizard of the KKK? A man who is a white separatist, claims that Israel was behind the 9/11 attacks, and supports Holocaust deniers. Not only does he speak like a shill for the lying propaganda known as The Protocols of Zion, but he is an active supporter and regular member of stormfront, a racist, white supremicist message board. Ron Paul, as crazy as he sometimes comes across, would NEVER hitch his wagon to that racist. Any support that he had, would vanish in a second.

I agree with Captain; however, before we are too surprised at the support let's consider that the guy was elected to congress (pretty recently too).

Well would ya vote for him? Or do you prefer large government and interference in your life?

He's just going to drop out in time to run for re-election of his seat. Like Trump, he's just in this for name recognition.

People voted Kennedy's in time again, why not?

You make it sound like voting in criminals is a new thing.

I identified Duke as a racist and a white supremicist... along with lots of other things. I do not believe I mentioned criminal.

I don't think this is entirely fair. Given the opportunity, Paul would take the helm and drive for us, like a VW bus on the way to Woodstock. Given the opportunity, Trump would turn it down because even he knows that he is not fit.

Paul is campaigning for face-time, sure; however, he'd take the job.

I'd vote for Paul over sham wow but I won't support him in the primary because he is not a person who has any chance of beating the Clown in Chief

Ron Paul is one of the last REAL DEAL OLD SCHOOL CONSERVATIVES out there. He is not a RINO. Look at his voting record, and you will see that he is a TRUE fiscal conservative

and a social nutjob..and thats why id never vote for him....sorry but hes whacky

I'd vote for Paul, but after seeing your David Duke avatar, I can tell you that the David Duke klan is only going to hurt Paul's chances, even though Paul repudiated them in the strongest terms in 2008. BTW, I still have my "Paul for President 2008" sticker on my bumper. Looks like it is time to get a 2012 one to match it.

CC, what you say as negatives for David Duke (and I agree with) is exactly what GOB believes so don't be surprised that he thinks Duke is his ideal candidate.

Pres. Obama (I've seen the reference before but I'm not exactly sure why TD came up with that term for Obama).

Israel was behind 9/11 and yes I know what SF is its a forum for white nationalists/separatists etc its not a white supremacist site...just another bait word liberals use. If he did add duke as his VP he would get tons more support from WN's he already has it just go look at SF.

Yep need to get one for myself as well. I have the sign my wife got signed for me by Dr Paul in December 2007 at his rally in Greenville,SC Wonder if he is going to come near SD this year or next.

Why would Israel be behind 9/11 if, as you've stated elsewhere, the US is controlled by Zionists? Wouldn't that mean Israel was effectively attacking itself?

Oh, and to be on topic, isn't Ron Paul a truther?

A fiscal conservative would be saying almost all of those things are the State of Texas' problem, not the taxpayers in Wisconsin's problems.

the taxpayer in Wisconsin and Texas are already taxed the money. this only directs where the money goes.

And he voted against every one of those pork bills. But since he knows they are going to pass, he is doing the right thing to make sure people in his district get some benefit from the money taken from them.

so you can stop demagoguing anytime.

Just because I won't vote for Ron Paul doesn't mean I prefer large government and interference in my life.

For example, I agree with Ron Paul that the War on Drugs needs to end. I probably agree with him on a few other particular points.

However, I disagree with him that the majority of the federal government needs to be abolished.

I like the Department of Education, although I would gear it more towards nation-wide administration than anything to do with curriculum.

I also like the Department of Transportation, as we need federal dollars to build up our transportation infrastructure. After all, the better our transportation system the better our commerce can flow, which is better for our economy.

I also like the Food and Drug Administration. I like that there's a regulatory agency to make sure that the foods and drinks I consume are safe, and if they aren't that they have measures to track them to ensure no more people get sick or ill.

I also like the Department of Homeland Security, although I would probably separate its anti-terrorist functions from its disaster relief functions. Possibly by even proposing another Cabinet Department for that sole reason.

So while I don't want big government neither do I want an ineffective government. And that's why I won't vote for Ron Paul.

I'm okay with the idea of the FDA and Department of Transportation, but I think the FDA would be better served being left to the states to run and operate. I consider the Department of Education a huge waste and part of the education problem the US is currently facing.

The FDA would be better as something like the BBB. If I want to seek their advice, I can, but they can't force me to agree with their views.

Sounds like something Obama would say. But at least Paul is not for growing the government.

Obama shares your view - a progressive view on our role in the world. Obama is also is basically is saying the same thing McCain/Bush was saying about the war on terror.
