    sounds all "hope and changey".

But when the *** hits the fan, we know he would of supported tarp. What about Iraq? What specific federal programs will he be in favor of cutting? Why was he so quiet when it was the GOP over spending? The only thing of substance he has offered is the fair tax, but we have no shot of eliminating the 16th amendment, so in reality, he is just pushing a new tax on us, while stilll allowing a tax on labor.

Maybe that's exactly why we like him.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Why does the fed have to be replaced with something? The FED doesn't need to exist. If you turly believe in capitalism than you should believe that interest rates will raise and full with demand, thus keeping the money supply from over inflating. Commonly held economic facts by conservative, non-keynesian economist is that the FED caused the great depression and the last recession, and made worse every recession we've had since the great depression.

Of course, if the FED is removed, we have to get rid of fractional reserve banking. That means banking consumers would have to be willing to pay some fees for services they get for "free". We really don't get these services for free since all our money is loaned by the bank to other people, but most people aren't privy to the information.

this is exactly why you like him. he is a blank page, and you can assign him the attributes that you care most about.

this works fine until he starts signing bills, and not vetoing other bills.

He supported Tarp. Here's what he wrote in 2008. He did not support the Stimulus.
What about the other contenders? Where did they stand?

For your enjoyment and inspiration. Cain speaks ahead of 2010 election.

YouTube - Herman Cain - (Featuring Krista Branch) Speaks at Americans For Prosperity.

Cain interview, same day, discusses a run in 2012. Talks about how he would tackle our spending. Talks about the NAACP as irrelevent now. How will the other contenders tackle it?

YouTube - Dave Elswick interviews Herman Cain.m4v

This is why he needs to select a VP like Allen West. Although this part doesn't really bother me. He will surround himself with knowledgable advisers

Where do the other contenders stand on the wars?

"Herman is a great speaker and makes a great first impression," said Dave Funk, who has sat down with Mr. Cain six times in recent months as co-chairman of the Republican Party in Iowa's dominant Polk County. "But what I don't see yet is a great deal of depth on things like Afghanistan and national defense."
On the stump, Mr. Cain leans toward libertarian on fiscal matters, but on social issues is a more traditional conservative, opposing gay marriage and abortion. He advocates chopping the size of government and replacing federal income taxes with a consumption tax. In the debate, he said he was still trying to figure out what the U.S. mission was in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Actually he did support a stimulus.

[B]Where do the other contenders stand on the wars?
I believe only two candidates in the GOP formally disagreed with the authorization of force in Iraq, Paul and Johnson. I can stomach a politician in favor of the Iraq War, so long as they agree that a lack of a declaration of war was very bad for our country, and that pressing for a formal declaration of war would of prevented the democrats from politicizing the conflict. This is a personal litmus test of mine. If a candidate won’t distance themselves from the how we carried ourselves leading up to the Iraq war, they are not fit for office.

Cain was a FED chairmen. You can support his polices if you like, but you'll be supporting someone who worked for one of the worst institution in America. Finding that fact out about him makes me question everything he stands for. Why? because anything that comes out of the mouth of the beast must be circumspect.

Doesn't matter. He worked for the FED and supported TARP/stimulus/Quantitative easing. Hes all for central planning. The quotes aren't taken out of context.
