We're discussing how your comparison of Founding Fathers to conservatives (thereby defending that only conservatives are mentally sound).

Now, your point is that liberals are abnormal. I'd say I'm a liberal because of several points of view. How am I abnormal...or as you just said, mentally unsound?

I'm abnormal in many ways, both good and bad. Too many to explain.

I have some abnormal characteristics, when compared to the general public, to certain groups of people, or to my family. As I said in the other thread, I think that there has to be some set group to compare others to.

According to my other siblings, I am the most normal of the 6 of us, but I am far from "normal" as far as most people would think, in general. It would really depend on what about me is being judged.

Phenotypic variation is required to not put all our eggs in one basket. Although, as Alfons can (and frequently does) evince, some outliers are less palatable than others.

It is required for the purposes of evolution. Some traits that pop up will be good and will move on to be dominate genes in time, but others will never get that far and not be desirable for the race as a whole.

My point is there is some variations that are desirable, and others that are not. Not all variations are created equal.

We do love to mis-use words, don't we..
What is wrong is thinking that homosexuality is evil or bad or repugnant, and worst of all - "sinful". This is what must change, and we will go on never using all the correct words all the time. Emotions get in the way.

    "Mentally sound" ???
    Ha!
That's a good one....no one is this.. I am of course, speaking "perfection".
This does not exist, nor should it be expected to...
For me, hitting the 75% mark ( IMO), is an accomplishment.
