Who are Dumber: Obama Voters/Democrats or “Birthers” « Poll Insider

"50%+ Of Democrats in a Scripps Howard poll believed that it is Very Likely or Somewhat Likely that George W. Bush knew or helped plan the 9/11 attacks? 1/2 Democrats are truthers, are they crazy? Does the media obsess over the truthers? Do they constantly write new stories to bring more attention to the truthers than actual truthers do? Where is Charlie Sheen and Howard Dean to straighten this all out for us? Aren’t they leaders in the truther movement?"

I realize the media has, and will continue, to obsess on people who wish to see President Obama's birth certificate and that same media will ignore the truthers like Michael Moore and Congresswoman McKinney but do you see any sort of equivalency?

Darn, screwed up the poll, again.

Birthers are the new things the media focuses on, they're more politically relevant.

There is no link to any Scripps Howard poll in the blog post you cite. It also cites an alleged CNN survey that goes to a .pdf file not hosted on a CNN domain, claims a Zogby poll that cannot be found in the link, and makes additional uncited poll claims. The blog post is non-credible, and your attempt to pass it off as evidence in itself is even less so. I suggest you either delete this thread or come up with a more credible basis for trying to pretend there is a significant left-wing equivalent to birtherism. I would rather not believe this thread contains deliberate falsehoods.

I did promise to defend against anybody suggesting "birthers" are crazy. Are you ready to have a debate with me about this?. Then we could have a poll to see who members think won.

You may want to just leave the poll broken.

Not really. I also don't invite Jehovah's Witnesses into my home to discuss religion. So, I'm assuming you would put true believers in both camps as equivalent.

I don't know nothing about no truthers, But I can bet they'd be too intimidated to ever reply here. We would spend the whole thread telling him or her how racist they are and ignore the video recording of George Bush explaining why they had to blow up the building. We all know that by now. Have any ideas that aren't exactly like our own? Take it on the road, Bub.

Like the village idiot is 'politically relevant'??

Hazelnut, you are hereby invited to participate in the debate about birthers being crazy. Actually you will take part or we will all call you poopie head.

Crazy? -- IMO they're scared bigots who lack critical thinking skills...

My point was that they are hardly 'relevant' (comparing them to the village idiot)... Trump is no idiot, but his political relevancy is now in the toilet. Sure, he's entertaining to watch (again, like the idiot) but he can no longer be taken seriously in the political arena... Just like Palin.

The media's focus in the 'birthers' has nothing to do with them being relevant...it's more about the entertainment factor.

Then you'd be willing to debate the facts? Because I promised ti nail the next person who said "birthers" are nuts. There is nothing nutty about them and I can prove it in a formal debate,

Ok, if we take the definition of being nuts from Einstein, that is "doing the same thing over and expecting different results", then the birthers keep clamouring for Obama's certificate, each time expecting a different result, hence they are nuts.

You may be exactly right. I just get the feeling nobody has been given the facts. I'm perfectly willing to wait for Donald Trump's investigator's report. He implies it's juicy.

Him doing this is about the bravest thing I ever saw anybody do. He couldn't care less what people think of him' He's doing this for the truth before the campaign.

I'm gonna vote for him. And then I'm going to disguise myself as a peasant woman and vote again. I will use my bazooka bubble gum card as an ID. We all know nobody cares about that stuff.

Truthers are crazier than birthers (UFOers blow them both out of the water). I'm glad to hear that the media will be ignoring Mr. Moore.

So thee is some degree of craziness asking to see a legitimate birth certificat or certificate of live birth?

Yes.

Congress was satisfied years ago.

I remmber the entire senate voted that McCain was eligible to be president even though he was born in Panama, But that was for show. THey don't have the power to decide that stuff.

I don't remember congress voting about obama. Again it is not their decision to make. And of coarse, no other president has caused this much trouble. A birth certificate is easy enough to provide. If you have one.

McCain is jus soli. Just so you know, there was no debate. Our bases are US soil.

The Scripps Howard poll referenced seems to be from 2006, and I cannot find the actual breakdown in numbers, but about 1/3 did believe 9/11 was an inside job.

Why we want to tie birthers with truthers is beyond me. They are both insane and believe what they do in the face of all evidence, but neither excuses the other.

I do. I tell them I practice Santeria, but that I am open to new experiences religiously. You've never seen solicitors move so quickly away from a door before ;)

from the title of this thread I thought it was reporting on the results of Wrestlemania.

well said. I guess even a blind squirrel will find an acorn now and then ;)

I asked you, Redress, if you had any questions. So you really can't say it's beyond you. Maybe what's beyond you is facing the truth
