Do you think one "niggar" sign at a rally makes the tea party racist?
If so, than I guess the Union rallys are predominantly Communists.

    Some of everything is racist.

The only point in saying that "some" tea partiers are racist is the attempt at making the movement illegitimate and make people who are sensitive to the issue freak out.
What is point of saying that? Do you realize what thread we're in? The question of the thread is: Is the Tea Party movement racist? Racism will necessarily be brought up.

I'm pretty sure every person has given some variation of this answer: "No the movement is not racist, but they have racist members." Get over it - it's true. Nobody has tried to discredit the movement. If we wanted to discredit it our answers would have been: "**** yeah the Tea Party is a bunch of racist!" But nobody said that. Move along.

Well I have that video if you'd like to see it again of Liberals wanting to hang Clarence Thomas, wanting to put him back out in the fields, wanting to cut off his toes and feed them to him.
Give me one "niggar" sign in my party over that kind of racism any day.

Read up on the demographics of the Tea Party. It's the same as the Republican demographics only with even lower percentage of minorities. This bull**** about the Tea Party being anything more than a group composed primarily of disgruntled middle class white suburbanites is ridiculous. The worst part is that people actually buy into the notion that the Tea Party is some sort of 'multi-racial' coalition of tax payers. The only minorities in the Tea Party are the ones they like to parade on TV to show off their multiculturality.

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK

The Tea Party is not openly racist, but it does attract some racists. Basically anybody who is opposed to Obama at all accepts the mantle, and well, that includes racists.
If this is how you feel, than you think they are racist and should have checked yes in the poll.

Believing we are all born as equal humans(Meaning, if you are human you have the right to not be judged by your genetics, but by your credentials) with equal rights is the only morally right way to structure a government.

The second people group a human population by their genetics and gives special services to that population because of it, it is racism( this goes for every case). The grouping of "race" has no real significance when it comes to a government who protects the rights and laws of the land, and if it is significant to the government, then it is racist. To the government, the difference of a white man and black man should be none... and it's job to protect that value.

The only reason why there are not more minorities in the tea party, is because of you and your political lean. You have divided the political leans on the basis of race and that is prejudicial. It is so ingrained into the minorities culture to being extremely skeptical of the right wing because of the media and bitterness of things happening 40 years ago.

The minorities who are at the tea party rallies i think deserve more kudos then anyone, for they have transended the cultural norm and it is evidence that they actually thought outside the basis of race, to what they actually believe in.

Been there done that, as in attended a few rallies. I can attest to who was there in the predominantly military town that they were held. You're reading the wrong material and definitely biased, whatever it is.

-_- you completely missed my point... I think it is not fair to say "but they have racist members"... you should just stop it at "No the movement is not racist." Even though, it is true they do have racist members, but there is no point in adding that fact because every polical movement has some racist's. I think bringing that point up is just meant to stick it in for the emotional response.
