You missed the creating the poll.

At any rate, I'm going with "no change." It will help Obama with people who've decided that anything's good for him. It will help Republicans with those who will give the GOP credit for the sunrise.

Well...you see this is what America voted for last November, were you guys sleeping?

It depends on how both sides use it in the campaign. There are plenty of jewels within that proposal to basically let the Dems destroy the over 65 vote for the GOP. Furthermore the very un-adult take that only spending should be cut. IMO independents are independents because they'll take the time to educate themselves and do the math. And Ryan's propsal is basically fails the math test. There is absolutely no way we can bring down the debt within a reasonable period of time (Ryan still has us running deficits in 2030!) without increases to revenue.

If Obama can release an ACTUAL MATURE proposal, the GOP will suffer. That said, Ryan's take is arguebly the first real adult proposal we've seen from the GOP.

Assuming they use it properly, this will absolutely help democrats. All they need to do is advertise what is actually in the bill.

(smile) You mean like we have with the HCR.

No, only the mentally dficient think we can go on spending like this forever......even those of us with "simplistic" views understand what spending more than we make means ....

Americans were actually voting for a mixed government that might produce some bipartisan results rather than partisan posturing, but thanks for proving my point.

You mean all they have to do is absolutely distort and blow up portions of the bill.

You realized you just called the Republican Majority House Leader and Minority Senate Leader "mentally deficient?"

Actually no. What is in the bill is quite easy to attack.

There were people that were gungho teaparty Nov2nd that arent for them any longer..I am one and I know others and im sure theres more middleclass republicans that are becoming aware of what the teaparty is about.
I have no crystal ball but the Ryan plan has more potential to hurt republicans than democrats with ANOTHER huge tax reduction just for the wealthiest and corporations and of course having the middle class pay through the nose for debt reduction while they enjoy another windfall. Middleclass is going to wake up to that

Redress is absolutely right.
Agree or disagree with the cuts but the majority of Americans do not want them.

The Medicare changes will scare a lot of people, and rightly, as well.

Too funny....the single largest repudiation since the 40's :)

Yes, let's spin that :)

So school me kids...how can we spend like this and stay afloat...don't bother with anybody's "fair share" crap either.

You are the one making claims about the election. Can you back up those claims? I don't make claims I can't back up, do you?

The results speak to your question :)

I knoiw what they meant, I was a part of it.

The man is ruining your Party....shall we speak of his negatives?

No they do not. In fact, people tend to vote based on how the economy is, and who is in power. That is, when the economy is bad, they vote for the side not in power, and in midterms tend to vote for the party the president is not. Both those situations happened. So where is your evidence?

I don't think there will be a change. Conservative thinktanks are already getting them to change phrasing and such. I think as long as obama doesn't screw up to bad and the GOP uses this plan like everyone is goin to love it then it could help dems otherwise no.

It depends on how good of salesmen the Republicans turn out to be. the more they put Ryan out in front, the better they are.

It also depends on how susceptible seniors and independents remain to Democrat fear-mongering. That appears to be the Democrats main solution to a debt crises - demagogue the grownups for offering solutions. They might oversell this, though, and if Republicans are smart enough to turn them into an object of riducule for it, then they can moot its' effects.

So we get a real chance this time around to find out if Americans still have the capacity for self-government.
