Sooo how is this dangerous again? Wearing a bunch of clothing is dangerous? Or how is this gonna have a negative effect on our country if we allow them and continue to allow them wear this?

How would that be dangerous if every single person in the US was to wear a burqa in public settings? Lol you Americans have some of the most intrusive laws but the fundamental right to see a person face is too much? You are funny, the majority is in favor of the law here by a very big margin, we chose to live in a secular society, have fun with the religious nuts of all sides.

Such items are banned in public schools in France.

No that's not the case. But again have fun with your freedom to own guns and to wear masks everywhere.

NOt a full out ban per se', but I would and do support laws that require that faces be shown on official government ID that use them, and that at least the face not be covered in certain types of government functions such as court, attending or involved. I cannot think of one religious group that doesn't have one aspect or another of their religion denied to them, at least in certain situations. Therefore, it is not an undue burden to require faces be shown in certain situations.

And you have respect for those who are different ?
We do have this same problem here of course...

This makes sense, I fully agree.

We have a secular government, not secular society. There are religious symbols all over the place outside, particularly during religious holidays. If someone chooses to wear a burka, why do you think you have the authority to tell them no? And there is no fundamental right to see a persons face; that is pretty ridiculous and obviously fabricated on the spot.

We have all sorts of religious nuts. If we let those dumb ass Westboro guys run around protesting, we can allow some Muslims who choose to wear a burka. Done and done; mind your own beeswax

If I'm going to rob you, why the hell wouldn't I be wearing a mask? I mean I've already chosen to break a greater law by stealing from you which actually infringes upon your rights. At that point, a law saying I can't wear a mask which innately does no harm to you is small potatoes.

I voted "other". I have no problem with women wearing burkas, but I don't think it's unreasonable to require them to show their face in situations when someone is trying to match them to thier ID. Other than that knock yourself out, wear a burka, I don't care.

No prohibiting the free exercise of religion, right? Did I fall asleep and we cut out part of the first amendment?
