Should we make peace with the MUSLIM world ?

Its a complicated answer, and if you can some your beliefs in those two answers, you definitely shouldn't be making any decisions about this world.

Ahem Indians ladies are generally not muslim but they are Hindu, there is a very big difference and BTW Hindu's hate Muslims as a rule, hence Pakistan (once are part of India) India in a perpetual state of war.

This lady was a Muslim, I was talking to her for a bit while waiting for the delivery truck to come so I could buy milk.

Oh, and India has the 3rd largest population of Muslims in the world.

I can accept that, generally speaking Indians are not usually Muslim yet Pakistan was once a part India but separated due to religious wars, if she is Muslim obviously her fore parents didn't make to Pakistan..not saying just saying. In regards to your post I stand corrected:)

Well about 80% of Indians are Hindu, so it's a common assumption, but 13% are Muslims, which is about 150,000,000 people.

All terrorist groups eventually end. But how do they end? The evidence since 1968 indicates that most groups have ended because (1) they joined the political process (43 percent) or (2) local police and intelligence agencies arrested or killed key members (40 percent). Military force has rarely been the primary reason for the end of terrorist groups, and few groups within this time frame have achieved victory. This has significant implications for dealing with al Qa'ida and suggests fundamentally rethinking post-9/11 U.S. counterterrorism strategy..........The authors conclude that policing and intelligence, rather than military force, should form the backbone of U.S. efforts against al Qa'ida. And U.S. policymakers should end the use of the phrase “war on terrorism” since there is no battlefield solution to defeating al Qa'ida.

I'm also not sure how trying to make peace would be a sign of weakness. We should be trying to normalize relationships with the groups in Afghanistan, because unless we want to kill eveyrone in the country, we're going to have to continue to deal with them.

I'm willing to pay more taxes. Aside from that, I'm not really sure how I could help. I'd be cannon fodder if I joined the Armed Forces, but the Peace Corp could be an option. I'm just spitballing though.

While I understand where you are coming from, I asked repeter the question of what would he personally be willing to do because I constantly see people supporting military actions and yet they themselves do not want to sign up and put their money where their mouth is.

Well I was one of those who supported the war and yes I served, not in these wars though. Ten years and counting with no end in sight, I think it's time that we reevaluate what we are doing there and why. We need to return to who we once were, it took time for me to realize this but as we all can see this country can no longer afford these endeavors. That being said, being a divided nation is longer a healthy way to becoming a great country as we also once were. Some day we all will realize those who govern have no interest in what the constitution mandates but, instead will play field for self power and aggrandizement as we all witness daily...it makes me sick to my stomach..

In the end we will either fade a way or once again become the hope of the world, although we should pay close attention to the precedent the Roman Empire set during the Germanic wars and other foreign endeavors, we seem to be following the same path.
