Post what poll options you want and politely ask a mod to put them up for you.

But towards the bottom when you're creating a new thread there's a box you have to tick to add a poll.

Should have added an unsure category

If the US economy can fake a recovery untill Nov 2012 then I would suggest yes. If not then no

It depends. If the government shuts down and blame is placed on him, I think he will have a very hard time making it out with the DNC nomination. If the blame is placed on the Republicans, he will still have a hard time getting the nomination, but it will be easier.

I still say the biggest factors are the 1) the economy and 2) who goes up against him. Given what we know right now I'd say the odds are still slightly in his favor.
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

Doesn't the incumbent usually get the nomination by default?

Normally it happens, but considering how many Democrats are pissed with Obama it isn't hard to imagine that some may switch to Clinton if she decides to run. I mean it was totally possible that, again, we won't know the nominee until hours before the convention, but this time it could be a different outcome.
