Well... you see.... we had it coming.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

I think the better question is:
Where were you when the majority of the world, including Muslims and Muslim nations, condemned the attacks on September 12th?

If they all did that, they'd be liberals. I hope everyone here realizes that the ultra-conservative Muslims are the one who we fight? You don't see any liberal Muslims killing Christians for being infidels, because they are more tolerant.

Does anyone have sources of mosques burning bibles in hate rituals?
Once again, you support the actions of tyrants. Why are they confiscating the Bibles in the first place? Shouldn't citizens have the right to possess Bibles if they wish?

And regardless of the reasons they are burning them, it would still be considered offensive by many Christians.

SE102 -- I tried to edit this post, but just a tad too late...

BTW, an imam in South Africa wanted to do exactly that. Other Muslims (like most Christians in the Qur'an burning incident) opposed it. In the RSA, they were able to get a judge to block it, something that would not be possible in the US.

I issued no support for it, one is the 'security' procedure of a state bureaucracy and the other is a hate ritual. Quite a difference. Deplorable sure, but qualitatively a different thing.

Really? I would condemn it either way, just like I condemn the burning of the flag and disgusting "art" involving Jesus or Mary.
