Personally if I made this thread the title would have been "Should people who burn bibles bitch or complain when others burn Korans?"

I have brought it up in a couple of threads.

I tend to believe that we shouldn't be making a mountain out of a molehill. All he did was burn a book which is the equivalent to burning a stack of papers, some debris, trash or starting a campfire. But hypocritical retards in the media decided that this was somehow newsworthy and acted as though Terry Jones is the only man on the whole entire planet to ever burn another religion's book. The only reason these PC tards give a **** is because die hard Muslims may kill them if they bash their religion. If this wasn't the case many of these PC tards would probably have a avatar of Mohamed pushing a baby stroller with baby Aisha in it while wearing a wedding dress.

I really do not give a **** if Euro-trash who enjoying ****ting on free speech with idiotic hate speech laws and Religious extremists who do not extend any courtesy or respect towards other religions think more or less highly of us just because some guy in Florida burned a Koran.

I really don't get mad at people who burn our flag, it just makes them look like an asshole, there's no need to waste energy being angry IMO.

Another example of why google is your friend: http://www.energypublisher.com/article.asp?id=17283

...suspects burned a bible and other sacred texts, leaving a letter threatening Christians that they will "burn in the fire of hell" if they do not convert to Islam...

Most of the people in the village are Muslim, and there are between 50 and 70 Christian families. The church is used by Catholics and Protestants, without conflict. When they became aware of the sacrilege, many Muslims went to the church together with the Christians. Now the police are investigating the "suspects" for the crime of blasphemy.
Muslim Community Seeks to Prevent Bible Burning in South Africa | Southern Africa | English

A respected South African Muslim organization has turned to the courts to prevent a fellow-Muslim from burning bibles in retaliation to threats by a United States pastor to burn the Quran.
South African Muslims Prevent a 'Bible Bonfire': The Star, South Africa

"In their papers, the applicants introduced and brought to my attention verses of the Quran I was unaware of. In other words, the Quran says that the Gospel is part of the Quran, and that if I burn the Bible, I'm also burning the Quran. That man (Jones) can go burn the Quran - he is also burning the Bible. Luckily they stopped me from doing it."

Considering that I supported our entry in Afghanistan to capture Osama bin Laden and because I considered becoming a foreign policy strategist or suicide terrorism specialist at a foreign policy think tank in order to combat terrorism inside and out of the US, this doesn't apply to me.

Would you be outraged at ministers for performing interracial marriages if racists made threats and then murdered people because those ministers performed interracial weddings?

Would you be outraged at science teachers for teaching the theory of evolution if a religious group started making threats and then murdered people because science teachers were teaching the theory of evolution?

Would you be outraged at a sports team for losing if nut job made threats and then started murdered people because that sports team lost their championship game?

Would you you be outraged at a video game company for not making any more World of Nerd Craft games if die hard world of Nerd Craft fans made threats and then murdered people because that video game company decided that they did not want to make any more sequels to World of Nerd Craft?
I didn't read past the first question because I realized that all you were writing was nonsensical emotion-based responses to an imaginary argument that I didn't make.

Isn't the Bible the same thing "a book which is the equivalent to burning a stack of papers, some debris, trash or starting a campfire?"

The opinions of Europeans and religious extremists aside, it is only our actions that matter. One man burned a Qu'ran and a majority of those in his own country expressed their outrage for the action. The media called attention to it, but wasn't that because Pastor Jones called the media to let them know when and where the book burning was going to occurr? Answer is yes. Jones seeked attention for this action, and he got it, but few people in this country support him. That, to me, speaks volumes and gives me hope that we are holding ourselves to that higher standard I mentioned before. If America must lead, than let us lead in this way.

Perhaps the anger is misdirected, but I can't deny I have it.
