Are you prepared?
Are you expecting it?
And more importantly, do you want it to happen?

;)

No
No
No

And more importantly, it's not gonna happen in the foreseeable future.

Well, we'll see about that.

Eventually, sure, the world is going to end. Not for billions of years, of course, when the sun becomes a red giant as it burns out it's fuel, but over time, clearly all things come to an end. None of us is going to be around then, the human race will long since have gone extinct.

Are you prepared?

Nope, but if the world ended, how could you other than live on another planet, which is not a feasable option at this point.

Are you expecting it?

Not particularly, why spend my life worrying?

And more importantly, do you want it to happen?

;)

Not particularly, I celebrate life.

Well, we'll see about that.

I think we need to call in the Xmen because Canell might just be a MAD SCIENTIST (queue spooky theremin music)

It's stupid to think about the end of the world, even if it is happening, worrying/thinking about it won't save yourself, so just live your life, and if the time comes just look up at the sky and say "OH ****!!!!!!!"

do you want it to happen?

Remember the Apocalypse scare of the 1970's, thanks to Jehova's Witnesses? A lot of people thought that was the true end as well.

I have a couple of new agey people on my Facebook and they are constantly posting things about the world ending. It's always just around the corner, even next month! Then that month comes and nothing happens.

I do think the world is in a key time right now that humanity has never experienced before and that big changes are happening, but fire and brimstone is not on the agenda.

All I know is that when I'm gone you all disappear. Something to keep in mind. Anyway, the question is irrelevent. If the world ends I can't do much about it. I like it here though.

That's... a much higher level of thought than I was expecting in response to this thread, or at 8 AM for that matter.

End of the woLrd?

Yeah, KO, brothers, mock the foreigner. It's the 1-st of April you know, I forgive you.

But the end of the world has already begun. :2wave:
Do I want it? Generally speaking, yes. :kissy:

In the most ideal situation, it's my fantasy to wake up and see the world completely destroid and nature just completely take over. I want to live in the forest with Wildlife thriving and every-other human living in it too. Im a transcendentalist LOL
But that is most-unlikely to happen if the world as we know it ended actually did happen, because we all have pre-concieved notions on what society must be like and we, for the most part, know how technologies work.
...meh

I would want a zombie apocolypse too, it would have the same result as my post above.

I learned along time ago that when the human race falls nobody will know in advance. Every single time somebody says the world is going to end, it doesn't. So, if the world ends in my life time, well ****. I guess Ill just put on that song by REM and watch the **** hit the fan. But I'd rather the world not end. I'm kind of opposed to mass extinction.

No.

Mayor Snorkum's desires are irrelevant. The sun shall die and thus the world will end. Mayor Snorkum hopes to live long enough to see this.

What an absurd thread. Is he trolling for suicide bombers, or what?

I never said anything about suicide bombers, Mayor. Good luck with the Sun. :)

We're so smart that probably Earth will one day be our long abandoned mother planet, and if it dies it will a sad day but not the end humans.

I think it's much more likely that humans will destroy the planet, or themselves, before being able to leave.
