I've made online friends before and met them in person, and there is a stark contrast between the way they talk to people online and the way they talk to them in person.

A lot of people say things online that they would never dare say in person because there is anonymity on the internet. So I'm curious to see how people vote here.

I'm mellow, pleasant, understanding and patient in person - but still honest, just in a nice way.

There's probably not a single person on this forum who will believe that. :)

It's more difficult to be charming on the internet than in person.

Tucker is actually a Packers fan in person.

I'm probably a little more withdrawn in person, until I've gotten a hold of what kind of people I am working with, then I open up probably a bit more than I do here.

One thing I've noticed about the internet, is that if it were a gauge of our society, nobody would ever shop at Wal-Mart, eat at Pizza hut or McDonalds, etc... everyone on the internet seems to be intent on being too cool for mainstream products/services.

I've never shopped at Wal-Mart.

I'm nicer in real life and only about one-quarter as tough.

Once they figure out a way to exploit kangaroo hides and make cheap products out of them, it will come to your shores.

:prof Kangaroo leather is actually cheaper, stronger and better for the environment than cow leather.

I am waiting for the marketing on that one. Jump higher with kangaroo shoes!

I never shop at Walmart because I'm loyal to Target. It's true that I never eat Pizza Hut, but that is because I have a lot of real pizza places within walking distance of my home. If everyone lived where I do, nobody would eat Pizza Hut. It's not about being cool, it's about being lucky.

And I just finished a McDonald's bacon egg and cheese bagel befor eI started typing this. Other than their breakfast food, though, I don't eat McDonald's. I prefer Wendy's.

Well yeah, but you aren't cool.

 Most soccer players shoes are made from kangaroo leather.

Thanks Spud I needed another reason not to watch Soccer. ( Reason #330: try to collapse the Australian Economy.)

I shop at Walmart and I often pray that I don't wind up on the pages of "People of Walmart" each time I set foot into that blasted place.

Walmart is our friend.

I can probably count on one hand the total number of times I've been in a Walmart. Mostly while on vacation somewhere and I would stop in early in the morning for supplies or somehting. But a couple of weeks ago my wife sent me there to get something and I was forced to go in there when it was busy.

I haven't slept in weeks.

They just built a "Super WalMart" here about a year ago. Let me tell you... it's anything but super. Never before have I seen so many spaghetti stained wife beaters, pajama pants and slippers walking around in one location in my entire life.

Oh. And spandex that is stretched to maximum capacity.

I can do even better than that.

My regard for Walmart can be expressed with just one finger.
