    Re: Price of gas

I currently live in Illinois, and it seems to be fairly steady around $3.60-3.70 roughly, but as I drove down to Florida for spring break I noticed that the farther south we got the cheaper it was, up to 25-35 cents actually. It also catches me striking that in Illinois E-85 is basically the same price as regular gasoline, not much cheaper at all. However, for instance in Iowa when I was there a few months ago I noticed it was significantly cheaper than it was in Illinois, something like 80-90 cents cheaper if I recall correctly? Its ironic since Illinois is the second highest corn producing state.

It's like 3.30 a gallon here. I hope it stays below 4$ atleast this summer.

It is $3.50 here in Eastern Washington state.
I see it over $4 a gallon easily by Memorial Weekend.

The price is 6.15 dollars per gallon in New Zealand. I don't think kiwis would be very happy if the price increased to 10 dollars.

In September I will presume the gas price is around 4.0 dollars from today's average of 3.5 dollars.

    Re: Price of gas

It's around $3.50-$3.60 in my area.

As an aside, I never liked the idea of using corn ethanol as fuel.

I’m fairly sure that there are other plants you could make fuels out of that don’t have anywhere near the food potential corn does.

And possibly that would produce fuel more efficiently.

Edit: And it may be wishful thinking, but I went with the lowest price on the poll.

I don't think the poll goes low enough. It will obviously vary by region, but on average I think it will be about $3.

We're paying $3.50 a gallon right now on average.
