Why does no-one care about the 3rd amendment?

I've noticed a distinct lack of attention towards the 3rd amendment, and I want to know why no-one likes it.

The 3rd Amendment does have a bright side. If there is ever another liberal-dominated Supreme Court they might find a constitutional right to run a whore house out of your home lurking in the 3rd Amendment.

For it to come into relevance, a war would have to be fought on the streets of the US. Of course having soldiers quartered in civilian homes would look like we were using human shields.

It's one of the 'rights' amendments that keeps the government from using your home whenever they feel like it. Therefore, it's a good one.

This is incredibly ironic. I was thinking the exact same thing last night and did a lot of research on the 3rd Amendment. Did you know that there is a secret organization that has been successfully keeping us free from 3rd Amendment rights violations for 217 years? Did you also know that the 3rd Amendment Rights lobby is the most powerful in this nation; no candidate has EVER been elected without fully supporting the 3rd Amendment.

I know that when pressed, I ALWAYS invoke my 3rd Amendment rights... just to be on the safe side.

Has the government decided that in order for an average law abiding citizen to exercise their 3rd amendment rights that they must register their home in order to be able to exercise their 3rd amendment rights ?Just like anti-2nd amendment loons try to do with 2nd amendment rights

Are some people arguing that since we didn't have homes with electricity, running water, natural gas hook ups, drywall, fiberglass or roam insulation, and other modern stuff that did not exist at the time the 3rd amendment was written that it no longer applies except to people who live in homes built with building materials from the 1700s or before? Just like anti-2nd amendment loons try to do with 2nd amendment rights

Are some people trying to argue that since some homes are huge that 3rd amendment rights no longer apply?Just like anti-2nd amendment loons try to do with anti- 2nd amendment laws?

Has the government decided that you must have a license or permit, submit fingerprints, pay a huge tax and or a waiting period before you can exercise your 3rd amendment rights? Just like anti-2nd amendment loons try to do with anti-2nd amendment laws?

Are people trying to the claim that since some homes are offensive that we must have a list of hate-homes that the owners of those homes do not apply for 3rd amendment rights because the 3rd amendment only applies to homeowner of popular homes? Just like anti-1st amendment loons try to do with so-called hate speech laws like they do in Candada and other Eurotrash countries that don't give two ****s about free speech?

Is the government trying to make 3rd amendment zones so that only homeowners who live in those zones get to exercise their 3rd amendment rights? Much like anti-1st amendment loons try to do with free speech zones?

Is the government trying to argue that since you don't have to own a home that they can't violate your 3rd amendment rights in exchange for you living in that home and using utilities? Are anti-3rd amendment people arguing that you don't have to own and or live in a nice home you can live in a tent or a dirt hut if you don't want the government housing soldiers in your home? Much like the anti-4th amendment loons try to do with invasive pat downs and virtual strip searches?

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

I dont know what you are on about...obviously, unlike the other 9 amendment which are personal rights, the 3rd is a protection of the rights of state and local governments, especially when (as described by the caveat "but in a manner to be prescribed by law") which CLEARLY means that private rights to a citizens property can be invalidated by a government official at the whim of the government, by the government, and for the government so that they can house soldiers wherever and whenever they want...provided they first decalre an executive order empowering them to do so.

When the founding fathers originally wrote this all they cared about was the government and not the rights of 'the people' as the government knows better how to provide for and care for and preserve 'the people'...the people of course meaning...the government(because after all...it is the people that make UP the government, with their bare arms...which they are entitled to keep...)
