Should be apart of a Social Sciences curriculum, under US politics. Should be rational discussions and opinions shared on what the children think is good or bad in the constitution and points addressed. The constitution is not some unquestionable sacred text, it's a political document.

I think it's incredibly hypocritical for anyone except a few select congressmen to support this bill, considering how many times they've supported unconstitutional legislation.

From a purely aesthetic view it's quite horrible looking

The first thing they should change on the money is taking off "In God We Trust", and changing it to "With Liberty and Justice for All", or just removing it entirely.

This seems like another part of the never-ending battle between politicians to act like they're the most patriotic while simultaneously doing a terrible job of their own legislative position. Maybe if they focused on things that actually have large consequence for the nation it wouldn't be in such bad shape at the moment.

I'm really sick of this battle. Maybe it's because all but like 3 congresspeople are total hypocrite stingebags

I agree. Allís good as long as its still got the familiar coating of excrement, ejaculate, blood and cocaine.

...but I wouldn't mind if they toned down the whole ****-them-godless-ruskies thing they've got going with the "In God We Trust" crap.

Hell the Constitution "rubbing" against a progressive mind or SCOTUS is naughty enough.

    No, of course not.

The Constitution does have one single use of the word "God", so the phrase "In God We Trust" shouldn't be there at all.

Also, that's not how "rutabaga" is spelled.

Another phrase that has no business being on American currency is the phrase "Federal Reserve Note".

I think under "In God We Trust" should be "1 Timothy 6:10"
So follow me into the desert
    As desperate as you are
Where the moon is glued to a picture of heaven
And all the little pigs have God

Re: Should this be on our money?

It is vaguely disconcerting how conservatives seem to feel the meaning of the Constitution is so obvious and unambiguous that all they have to do is make it as widely available as possible and read it aloud in Congress and everyone will magically turn conservative.
