I thought because his father was British, he could likewise be considered a citizen. I've seen the Certificate of Live Birth and the newspaper clippings at the time of his birth. I think it's quite probable he's a U.S. citizen, but his customary evasion of the topic and usual secrecy by sealing all his personal records and related historical documents sure was suspicious. I don't consider this a real controversy but don't feel I know enough to be positive, so I voted 'Don't know'.
Hey look. Conservatives messed with the poll numbers again. Some people can't stand losing so much, even when they are wrong, that they have to try to cheat.

Very telling that there have been 42 "no" votes and none of the usual far right wing suspects have shown up to weigh in on Obama's citizenship.
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK
I wasn't aware there was ever a question as to whether Obama was American.
Before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you do criticize them you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.
I swear to God, these idiotic stupid ass threads need to stop being made. OBAMA IS AN AMERICAN! HE WAS BORN IN HAWAII! END OF STORY!
"And in the end, we were all just humans, drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness."
One thing I would like to note here :
While those that believe Obama to be american have been more vocal in the posts, the results show that more people believe that he's not... and have mostly remained silent. Not that this poll is anything approaching scientific.
I put; I don't know... I've just not seen the long-form. But that doesn't mean he does not have one.
