1 year, that was your number. 1 year. Not 3 days, but 365 days.

Yes - "a 1 year wait" - as opposed to being denied a tubal or visectomy because of a *lack* of having enough children to *qualify*

I personally don't see the need for a wait at all - but currently - if a woman has just one child and is in her 20's and goes to her Gyno to set up a tubal ligation surgery date they just won't do it - they'll tell her to 'see someone else'
A screaming comes across the sky.
It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

You're hung up on women's birth control for some reason...this thread is about men, and you and I are talking about vasectomy, not a tubal.

    I lack knowledge - I've never inquired about a visectomy - I'm not male.

Do doctors oppose visectomies for men who don't have kids/have 1 kid on the idea that "in the future you might want more?"

No, but that's probably because I don't have sex with women, so what would be the point?

Alright, so for reasons not to take birth control we have "I had a vasectomy" and "I'm gay"

Except for the fact that there's immigration.

When there are tons of unwanted babies and children in our society, what's the better thing to do? Provide for a child whose own parents can't provide for him/her because they made some dumb mistakes, or ignoring the problem by wasting your time and effort on having your own kids when those efforts could be used on another individual that actually needs help?
Well I think it's kind of better to adopt too... I would rather give a child in an orphanage a chance, than create a new baby. It's tragic that children die orphans and are neglected by their societies.

You won't let your wife take hormonal birth control... will you let her leave the house or drive a car?

Yes it's hormonal... and that's funny they had a good response to it, because two of my friends had a bad reaction to it. My sister was on the patch, and it made her brain bleed... she started getting really bad migraines when she took it
