Most men don't want to get their junk touched - it's just that simple.

Oh.... I thought you were talking about people who regularly take drugs/prescriptions on a recurring basis.

I dont put pills in my body unless I need them....which is why I have a cabinet full of narcotic pain relievers from two years ago when I got my vasectomy and had my gall bladder removed in the same summer.

Its so retarded, they give you like 90 pills with 2 refills for something that your only in REAL pain for 2 days for...... Can you say 'Drug Dealer'???

Its no wonder there are so many people hooked on prescription pain killers.

someone did that for underprivileged women and he was taken to court - he granted $1,000 to each woman who chose to have a tubal ligation and people freaked out.

Overall - there should be no limits to surgical sterilization - someone should be 20 with no kids (male or female) and have a little snippity snip if they so choose - maybe a preliminary 1 year waiting list so they can think it over or something . . . but it should be more readily encouraged and available. . . and free or otherwise more affordable.

Well I agree we do over-medicate in many ways. I know when I was like 15 and got my wisdom teeth out the gave me like 30 Perks with 2 refills?????

I didnt use any, now Im sure there some people that have too but 90 perks? if you need them all Id guess the surgery went wrong lol

Oh no you don't, reproductive rights, his body, his choice, and all that.....if you require a 1 year waiting list for this then you have to require a 1 year waiting list for an abortion.

A lot of people who oppose a woman getting her tubes tied before she's had kids - or before she has more than 1 kid - do so because they firmly believe that women will suffer serious emotional and mental problems from the overwhelming desire *to have kids* after they've rendered theirselves sterile.

Most doctors refuse to do so unless they feel that you've literally "had enough" - emotionally, physically, mentally, financially.

Even after having four children my doctor made me consider it - he questioned me routinely, "are you sure" and "you KNOW it's permanent, don't you?" and all that. . .he never told me ' you should avoid having more kids ' - but he certainly cautioned me against having a tubal done.

As a result of the 'permanancy' of it - they've devised a procedure that is designed to be reversible - but it's more likely to fail.

I *do* oppose same-day elective abortions - it shouldn't be so simple.
I see nothing wrong with waiting a while to have it done. . . except that can quickly cross into 'too late for you' - because I don't support late-term abortions. . .there's a window of time and that's that.

A visectomy isn't that bad - it's an outpatient procedure and usually has a short waiting-time for the male.
A tubal ligation is an all out surgery and the recovery time for me was a week. . . far more significant.
