    Man-Caves

    Quite simple question:

Do you have a man cave?

For the married guys; Yes this does include your hidden one that is disguised as the tool shed or your work bench room.

Man Caves consist of but not limited to

    1. Big screen TV LCD/LED/Plasma
    2. Comfy chair
    3. Mini-fridge to store beer or other goodies
    4. Sports Memorabilia
    5. Stereo System

The debate still ravages on if Studio and 1-Bed Room apartments can count as having the ability to have man caves.

Not by that definition, although I do have a sizeable workshop, full of tools, that I would consider a "man-cave" or sorts, I suppose. At least I'm the only one who ever goes into it.

I lived in a studio last year and I would not count it as a man cave. To me a man cave is where men go to escape the other parts of the house. In a studio it is just there.

No so-called man cave here. I do have a 62" LED flat screen tv that I bought myself for Christmas though. (sorry cruddy phone pic). don't mind the cabinetry I was having built around it about a month ago (that's all together and done now, need to take another picture) and I have a leather recliner and a PS3 and Wii console. Does that count? Okay... backing out of the testosterone thread now.....

My computer and all of my entertainment appliances are in my bedroom, and I spend the majority of my time there. Not certain if this counts or not.

    Re: Man-Caves

Sadly no true "man cave" yet. Though my next house will most definitely have one, with my wife fully aware of it. I want a basement, or at least some kind of living room sized room.

In my townhouse currently I do have one of the bedrooms as my "room" essentially with my computer and various items in it. Once we finish up some of the touch up paintings I'll be hanging various things, including sports memorabilia-esque things. However, its more of a man-cubby then a true Cave as its rather small.

Here in the midwest we do not call them man caves. We call them "basements".

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I just have my business with which to retreat.

The best cave there is the one carved out by my desk and is home to a golden retriever when he is not out peeing on things.
