All im trying to say that this poll can have alternate opinion that isn't retarded, so any answer you choose can be justified by ones opinion. Because your making it sound like i asked a stupid question. Which i don't think i did, because the various answer's can be chosen based on each person's ideal means of morality. Because i don't think my ideal is the same as your ideal.

I don't know if it works very well. If we have perfect morality than we behave according to how we believe we should behave. If I am a psychopath and believe that it is the right way of life, I would call myself moral but others would call me immoral.

I purposely did not state what perfect morality was because all of our idea's of perfect morality may be different, which would reflect the answer's in the poll. You didn't discover my fault in the question, but my purpose for the question.

Your thread title has nothing to do with your question. If people were perfect there would be no need for a government as we would all never do anything wrong.

As for your post question there is no ideal government. As long as humans are fallible thier government will be fallible and subject to corruption and greed.

If people were perfect, the best form of government would be no government. Granting the perfection of humanity, anarchy becomes the best option.

Most likely, there would be no need for people to take up people's slack.

    QUOTE]

It is true that people would not be able to do wrong, but there would still be older, sick, and poor. The question that comes from this is wether we are ideally morally responsible to help these people? we need a government to organize the distribute to them? Or are they just responsible for thier own needs? It can be questionable whether we need government or not! Hence i did a poll to demonstrate this difference in opinion. People's opinion on how ideal morlity reaches an ideal government can differ on the basis of we all have different points of view of what ideal morality is.

If you want to bash the question, you need to think about it more... it's broad for the reason to not rule out anyone else's opinion. Trying to make it the least biased as possible.

My question is the same! "If people had ideal morality, what would be the best form of government?" All i did was further clarify the word 'Perfect' = "perfect morality"

"Suggesting what should we ideally strive for as our society evoles morally" This part of the post question was leading the discussion to reflect how your answer to the poll question might reflect what you think we should should aim for as society improves (evolves morally).

If people were perfect there would be no need for government. But if I had to choose one I'd probably say benevolent monarchy.

How would there be sick or poor people if everyone was perfect. We would have Doctors who cure all illnesses for free and the poor would have jobs which then makes them not poor. In a perfect world, people help themselves and others help them without payment or someone asking. Therefore, if all people are perfect and I mean all...there is no sense in having a ruling gov't because there would be no wrong nor responsibility needing to delegate what individuals can do for themselves.

If perfect means no greed, no lies, no rich, no poor, no crime, no guns, no jails, no wars, no politics, no prejudice, no hate, equal medical, education, houses, cars, for all, then socialism might work.
