As you may know, government employee's recently have their annual Cost of Living raise stopped by Congress. Additionally any increases to the various steps was suspeneded as well. There is now talk of disallowing any in-step increases or promotions for a certain amount of time.
Yet, despite Congress voting in favor of some or all of these measures, they have deemed it appropriate to give themselves raises.
So this would be my question...if Congress votes to freeze pay of federal workers in some fashion should it make congress themselves inelligable for raises of any kind for that fiscal year as well?
