No, it would be tyranny if he was defying the will of the people AND the people didn't have any recourse. If you don't like him, you can vote him out of office in 2012. Assuming, of course, that his policies are as hated by the American people as you think they are. As it stands now, that does not appear to be the case with his approval ratings hovering somewhere in the 48-51% range.

It's stupid and infantile to call him a tyrant just because he's doing things you don't agree with.

I do plan on voting for him, with the qualification that up to now I think his performance has been only slightly above mediocre. But we really don't have all that many individuals to choose from in the first place.

Personally I think that it's a wasted vote to vote for the "lesser of two evils". The voting process is suppose to be about showing the government what we the people want. If we always vote for the lesser of two evils then we are showing the government that we "want" crap to happen to us.

I'm talking on an individual basis. If I vote for myself then I'm not voting for the lesser of two evils. If you vote for yourself then you are not voting for the lesser of two evils. However if someone else were to vote on us and someone else looked at it they would consider that other person voting for me or you or both of us to be voting for the "lesser of two evils" (or greater..whichever).

So basically I believe that as individuals we should be voting for who we think is the BEST, not who is the "lesser of two evils".

I voted yes, but I should have abstained. You did not leave an option for "I have not seen the candidates yet." I don't make decisions on who I am going to vote for before all of the candidates are out there.

As far as your other predictable comments:

1) Troops are being withdrawn from Iraq. Also, anyone who voted for Obama voted for a guy who stated clearly that he planned on staying in Afghanistan.
2) Employment, I believe is at 9%, but you'd have to be somewhat ignorant to blame Obama for unemployment to begin with.
3) If you are worried about Americans living in poverty, you can start by writing your Congressmen to quit supporting these ridiculous cuts.
4) As I recall, Obama has taken steps to reduce the budget by cutting non defense discretionary spending. These cuts will be extremely painful but are necessary (especially since we decided that keeping tax cuts for the rich was more important).
5) I don't know how you can blame Obama for the National Debt. He inherited most of it and much of the bailouts were begun before he took office.
6) I don't think you know what subprime means.
7) Kenya? Really? Way to lose any credibility you may have had.

Maybe Obama planned 9/11 with Bush too. Is this the conspiracy theory board?

Oh, and I am unhappy with Gitmo still being open. I am even more infuriated that the Patriot Act still exists and extraordinary rendition still occurs. I definitely have a bone to pick with the liberals in government.

I will agree that he is the most inexperienced. One of the reasons I didn't vote for him the first time around.

Most corrupt? At this point in time that is just your opinion. Won't be fact until he gets charged with something worse than the watergate scandal. (fyi, I also think that he is the most corrupt..but that doesn't mean that he is until he is actually charged with something.)

It's a matter of opinion. If I vote for a 3rd party candidate, my only impact on the outcome of the election will be in terms of which of the two major candidates I take my vote away from. I know for a fact that the 3rd party candidate will not win, so to me it's a waste of a vote.
