Is violence an acceptable political tactic?

Yea or Nay.

Is violence an acceptable political tactic? No. But the anti-abortion movement in this country seems not to agree.

"Acceptable" means different things under different circumstances. **** the American Revolution was pretty damn violent.

Violence is never justified. I am a self proclaimed pacifist, but I will fight if need be.

I'm part of the anti-abortion movement and I don't support violence. Your generalizations are false. So I guess the pro-choice movement is more violent because more babies have been delivered and murdered than abortion doctors murdered by crazy people? The pro-choice movement seems to not agree, as they have no problem with delivering babies alive and then murdering them in inhumane ways (and by pro-choice I mean a handful of "doctors." They define the whole group though).

That was a war of independence. Are we in a war of independence?

You have to deal with the fact, underline, the fact, that abortion is a legal medical procedure. Doctors who perform abortions are law-abiding citizens. Failure to acknowledge this is failure to deal with reality. Reality.

under certain circumstances violence is certainly justified. if those marched into the death camps of the Third Reich had all fought back and if only one of 20 had killed a german soldier, we would have crushed Hitler's regime much faster

so many contradictions in one sentence-might be a record

I was merely pointing out that your question is WAY too broad.

Help us here, how would you narrow the question? Is violence in America today, acceptable? Question Mark. Asked another way: who if anyone, in your opinion, deserves to be attacked because of their politics?

So, we should blame the Jews for the Holocaust?

So, we should blame the Jews for the Holocaust?

not at all

but meekly going to slaughter is pathetic

of course they complied with Hitler's gun laws and were disarmed

it would have been great if all of them had done what those brave patriots did in the warsaw ghetto and tied up a division of nazis-nazis that were unable to stem Mother Russia's armored counterattack

That's better. Then my answer would be no. Nevertheless, what people think is really irrelevant as political violence is inevitable, even in an advanced Western industrialized country.

Is violence an acceptable political tactic?

Yea or Nay.

Depends on the issue and whether or not peaceful solutions have been exhausted. For example if the government became tyrannical then it would be the duty of every American who calls himself a patriotic to respond with violence.

Apart from your lousy history, for TurtleDude, I see, violence in American politics is an acceptable tactic.

I'm talking about the doctors who induce labor and kill the born baby like that one "doctor" who is being charged with multiple accounts of murder. He was inducing labor in late-term pregnancies and killing the born children after they were completely delivered. This is the fact, and under the law he is being tried and charged with murder.

Seeing how the law fails to protect the unborn then it is most certainly acceptable for citizens to take the law into their own hands. Death is the least thing a child murderer deserves.

Violence against your fellow Americans? Okay. Would you ever seek to terrorize your neighbors? Publish lists of political enemies to be targeted? Is all this acceptable? Are there any limits to the tactics you would be willing to commit against your political opponents?

One doctor. What about all the other doctors who are providing abortion services; are you talking about them, too?

Depends, it's not a yes or no answer. Would it be acceptable if someone you didn't like got elected? No, but would it be acceptable if a president choose not to step down, shut down the reelection process, and made themselves king/queen? Yeah, I would pick up a gun if that were the case.

You're referring to unions here, aren't you?

Who would you aim the gun at?

Actually I was thinking of fairly mainstream anti-abortion groups who are publishing so called “Wanted” posters to intimidate, threaten and otherwise terrorize abortion providers in this country. But, feel free to offer your own instances.
