Maybe she did get nervous... never really thought of that. I guess it's possible, but you know she has sang to millions of people before... but then, it was the Super Bowl... IDK. Is the Super Bowl intimidating to mega stars??

I think maybe sports venus can be intimidating as they know Sports Fan are prone to booing your ass if you mess up. lol

Eh, you have to admit the last two The Peas and The Who were a step up considering past Super Bowl half time shows. Granted I never watch the half time show.

oh hell no

the black eyed peas sucked
even worse than the who

too many great entertainers out there to select such inferior "talent"

I thought the Black Eyed Peas turned it out:) Sure they started out it sounded as if maybe mic issues or something but I loved it. Course they are one of my fav groups ever so maybe I overlooked some stuff and just thought they did well.

Worse than the Who? No way dude.

I think she like most people KNOW the words...its a bit different when you are in the spotlight.

Ever watch Jeopardy or "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader"? OF COURSE we know the answers...when there is no pressure on us. the brain works a little differently when we are under pressure.

Accept for the fact she does stuff for a living and can't be on the same level of some local they picked when it comes to nerves.
There should be only one way to sing the song and that way is the right way, but I do agree with you about removing the half time show. If there going to be a half time show it should be a match between two teams from the LFL (Lingere Football League).

The singing of the National Anthem should be done together with the crowd. It should not be a performance but a chance to lead the crowd in a traditional rendition of the song. For example, "Please rise and join (whoever it is) in singing the National Anthem."

As for the half time show, how about a marching band. Also, how about showing a little bit of the marching band during half time of college games. Do we really need to hear all about what happened in the game we just saw? Keep college ball what it should be, a band concert where they play football before and after. :)

She sang? Was more focused on other parts of her body :)

And for the record...Im all for ending the half time showss...go back to a frekin marching band or two. The Phantom Regiment or some such professional marching band. Great show and...look ma...no head boxes or walking condoms...

I liked those "Up with People" performances back in the day...

No. Whitney Houston started the downfall of the National Anthem, and Aguilera is merely one more twig in that tree of suck.

From what I remember, Whitney did a great rendition of our anthem.
This woman can flat out sing.
I favor changing it ti "America the Beautiful"..
And then working on the beautiful part...100000 jobs...another 10000 for prisoners(the dirty work).
