    Oats are OK.
    They cannot be trusted.
The rich will eat better and the poor will eat the junk..

Rich people eat fast food, too - I don't know why you think how *much* money someone earns denotes *what* they consume.

Actually- the way it *was* up until everyone came to a more modern income-availability level (or a society in which crap is served as 'food' in a bag through a window) was that poor people couldn't afford ANYTHING that had sugar in it - or someone else having prepared it and so on. THAT was extra - that was afforded only by the rich.

So for the longest time the poor were actually healthier in some ways (dental - for example) when you're considering diet-content alone.

    Where is this publicized?

I love Taco Bell and as long as it isn't dog food, I don't care what it is. My biggest beef is that there isn't one withing 30 miles of where I live. I can get crappy McD's, but no Taco Bell. And I don't like the tacos that Mexican restrauants sell.

No where that I am aware of. Where is it publicized as to what is in a bacon ranch chicken quesadilla from Chilli's? Where is it publicized what's in a stuffed chicken breast from Ruth's Chris? Where is it publicized what's in a Five Cheese Ziti al Forno from Olive Garden? I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here?
Welfare (Food Stamps, WIC, etc...) are not entitlements. They are taxpayer funded handouts and shouldn't be called entitlements at all. Social Security and Veteran's benefits are 'Entitlements' because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.

If it isn't publicized, exactly how would someone go about knowing this information?

Your post is incredibly condescending and that's kind of hilarious, because it's based upon an urban legend.

snopes.com: Grade D But Edible Meat

Of course, your post does nothing to address the inaccuracy of labeling--as meat--food products that are mostly not-meat, and corporate complicity in that scenario.

I blame conservatives only because we all know how much you love corporate greed and hate government regulation, and I can't believe that this information has been largely hidden from consumers.

I hope these assholes end up paying a major settlement.

The best part of all of this was you writing a lengthy post as if you knew what you were talking about, and were some kind of expert on the subject, Hugh, while merely repeating an urban legend.

I grade your post as Grade D "butt" inedible.

Ask someone who works there perhaps? I found out about Grade D beef from Taco Bell when I was sitting in their drive through and they were getting a delivery. It didn't come as a shock to me in the slightest because I can tell the difference betwen good beef and beef from Taco Bell. Just because something may taste good to you doesn't mean it is good for you. Krispy Kreme's are absolutely delicious, but they aren't the best thing to be eating on any sort of regular basis wouldn't you agree? And no, it's not publicized as to what exactly is in a Krispy Kreme either.
