I wonder if this qualifies for truth in advertising rules? Could they be sued by my AG for unfair business practices?

o me the tip off is, when you get something like a .99 cent meal - you know, it's made out of plastic parts, road kill and dried insects all blended together and poured in a mold, colored and "seasoned" to taste like whatever they want it to taste like, and then passed off. I'm to the point now that where meat is concerned, I buy it from the supermarket but I grind it myself. I can't control the chemicals and hormones they use unless I go out and pur, chase from a farmer - but even they shoot antibiotics and hormones into their stock. Chicken feed has it already in from the time they're chicks. So when I want a taco - I unfortunately have to purchase the soft shells frozen, deep fry them or bake them myself, fry up my own ground beef, add my own seasoning (no MSG), cut up my own lettuce I grow, my own onions (or if I have to bought ones), and real cheddar cheese with the salsa I also make myself. Sad really... all that work for a taco which is why I haven't made them in like 3 years.
This is why I rarely eat fast food (except when I travel and don't have a lot of choices).

I agree. I really feel the FDA should be more involved in food quality. It can't be healthy for us to eat 90% of the stuff sold at fast food chains. If anything, those places should be forced to disclose the grade of their food. Lot's of places get deals on grade B and C meat, and they use that in fast food meals. However, when it comes to medications I think the FDA should be more lenient.

I once read what is actually in McDonald's chicken nuggets and nearly vomited. Horrible horrible stuff.

I laughed when they pushed the adds that "it's now made with real white meat!" Fast food chains should be accountable for the stuff they market and sell.

Don't care. If I get a craving, which is rarely, I'll go for it.

    Re: Where's the beef?

It will continue to be standard practice (using inferior ingredients) as long as people require and continue to purchase really, really cheap food. If you bought a new TV for $20, would expect it to be of the same standard as a Sony costing $400? If they have lied about their ingredients then they should be punished, but if you know what's in their tacos and still choose to eat them then caveat emptor.
