Well people would know who you voted for, and, if that information got into the hands of some unscrupulous individuals, they may try and convince you to vote for someone else next time. It was for reasons like that that the secret ballot was introduced.

    That remains true today.
true to some extent-the users couldn't vote up the taxes of the producers. society was fine without this pitting the looters against the producers

there is not need for a progressive income tax other than to buy the votes of many with the promises of the wealth of others

    your claims have no merit

those who are more useful to society have a strong argument for better treatment

They do that today based on exit polling results.

Its a right and a privilege with responsibilities.
A man can lose this right if he does not use responsibity..

of course if we had a tax system that treated each person equally (a flat tax)I would support equal voting rights

but I bet you support UNEQUAL treatment in terms of how much of my next dollar i get to keep vs yours
    LMAO nice spin and dramatics

again its STILL the worst idea EVER and there is NO unequal treatment of you in reality when it comes to VOTING LMAO thats pure fantasy.

My opinion on your taxes are irrelevant in this thread about voting and I have many different opinions on the subject because reality is gray. Id be 100% for a flat tax or any other taxes that work but the fact is THIS thread is about voting and to keep on topic and not let you derail, a person paying higher taxes making their vote count more IMO is one of the dumbest, most illogical, bias, hypocritical things I have every heard.

Sorry just they way I view it.

Your level of paranoia is ridiculous, and unfounded. I know you'll have a lot to say to the contrary, but its unfounded.

A while back I put this up as a debate - "should voting be mandatory?"
I believe that it should, along with reform in campaign finance and advertising.
There should also be a "none of the above".
