Maybe only Pastor Terry Jones alone still fight for Christian believe, instead of corrupted and politically correct fat "priests" - unbelievers in their dead apostatize "churches" who forgotten the Teaching of Holy Bible and are kissing Quran and have too much respect to Islam.

Please vote, is Pastor Terry Jones a true Priest we need or not, please explain why.

What, a bloke that promises to do something, then backs out with a lame excuse? Who's church goes and protests soldier funerals with the Westboro Baptist Church?

Of course not, pastors of all kinds, especially this idiot, are a parasite on society. We don't need any of them.

No, we definitely don't need wackos like this guy. On the scale of religious nutjobs, this guy ranks just below Fred Phelps.

It was no one country which could survive without Religion. Leftism has destroyed Christianity, therefore it will be rejected by Islam, not later as in fifty years. The cowardly "churches" are dead, maybe only Pastors like Terry Jones can still withstand the hateful Teaching of the Religion of Peace and Tolerance. Otherwise our countries will became Caliphates governed by Sharia Law and only donkeys will be seen on our highways.

The guy is an extremist, much like Islamic terrorists are extremists. Extremism is a bad thing.

Source for that last statement please... I can't find any information that links Terry Jones to Westboro's activities.

While Terry Jones is certainly a controversial figure and something of a grand-stander, his words and actions are not equivalent to blowing up a bus full of Israeli schoolchildren, or 9/11, etc.

Sarah Palin, Terry Jones.... Didn't your mother ever teach you that the people with whom you associate are a reflection of you?

While I am sure Jones thinks he has Christian convictions, and probably is true to much of the Word, I see has his pulpit as false teaching (which we are commanded to know the Word so that we can be wary thereof.) Any pastor who's message is substantially based on hate, IMHO, has lost his way and thus is dangerous to all Christians. (in short, he is part of the problem.)

Find a better hero(es).

Christianist extremists are no less reprehensible than those of any other religion. The pastor, and Tim McVeigh for example

This pastor hasn't killed anyone. Nor, to my knowlege, has he called for acts of terrorism.

Tim McVeigh was a Branch Davidian, or a sympathizer, acting in response to the government destruction of the Waco compound and the killing of men women and children there.

Comparison: utter FAIL.

Everyone could survive without religion, the human species doesn't need shared delusion. Just because people are used to having irrational beliefs doesn't mean they're necessary. Lots of people survive just fine without it.

True. However, extremism also is not necessarily violent. Likewise there are many fundamentalist or extremist Muslims who don't engage in violence, however extreme their views might be.

A better comparison would perhaps be the Klan, or if you want to go back far enough, the Spanish Inquisition.

The Koran is evil, he can burn it if he chooses. The UK is becoming too strict and kissing up to Muslims.
I wouldn't burn it in public If I were him though, its not worth dying for. He needs to spend his time spreading the Gospel.

I misread my source, they weren't at a soldiers funeral, but they're still protesting with the WBC.

At the entrance to Trinity United off of Northwest 53rd Avenue, the Westboro group also was joined by about 30 members of the Dove World Outreach Center

My comparison was probably a bad one. I don't equate the guy with suicide bombers, but since Alfons is so threatened by muslims, I thought maybe the comparison would get my point across to him in a way he would understand.

NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

The Bible is evil too. Let's burn that!

I disagree, even parasites are necessary..
A rotten apple has spoiled the entire bushel , but humans are not apples.

Perhaps England is getting "carried away" with its philosophy...
Bear in mind that England (aka UK) has been around as a nation far longer than ours and the greater time allows for more knowledge and development..
The world does not need book burning idiots.

Ok, thanks... but this is a case of Jones' church happening to be there to picket some Islamic thing, where Westboro had also decided to protest. It doesn't exactly make the two churches blood-brothers or like-minded sisters. I would hazard a guess that plenty of the protesters from Dove Outreach were probably dismayed to find that Westboro was also present. Aside from Fred Phelps and his small clan of super-haters, virtually every other Protestant in America is appalled by Westboro's antics.
