"To waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by rights to hand down to them."~ Theodore Roosevelt (Message to Congress, Dec. 3, 1907)
"A woman is like a teabag, you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water." - Eleanor Roosevelt
Keep your religion out of other people's marriages.
Before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you do criticize them you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.
Eat me, drink me, love me;
Laura make much of me
I can name several prominent politicians who made a career of trying to "strengthen the moral fabric of this nation" and ended up doing exactly the opposite in their personal lives. Whether we're discussing a man who wants to put child molesters behind bars and then is caught sending inappropriate texts to young pages, or a governor who wants to end prostitution in New York and then is caught purchasing high-end escorts with taxpayer money, they all have something to hide.
But both parties are being paid in that instance.
Whereas in one, someone is paying for a service, that SOMETIMES the prostitute has been forced into it.
Now the real rates of that, I do not know.
Watch Cat House, HBO Miniseries about a legal whorehouse in Nevada. Very interesting stuff. And on the other side of the coin, these ladies love their jobs. And boy oh boy, do they make a **** ton of money...
I swear, make prostitution legal, tax the hell out of their salaries, and you can pay off the national debt in a couple of months...
