Well 10 minutes ago I was sitting on a chair, then I posted on DP and moved to my bed, so I've changed that position.

But since I've joined, I've learnt heaps and my beliefs have shifted quite a bit.

I wouldn't say Debatepolitics per se, but my experiences with various political discussion groups going back many years have altered some of my perceptions and refined others.

If anything, my abortion stance has changed. I support abortion in the cases of rape and related situations only.

"gay" marriage, a year ago - against, to day this may be allowable by our state. There is no "fix" on ones sexual orientation, so let them be married.
I have become quite liberal and far less conservative.

One I can think of right off the top. Probaby more....or certainly some of my hard edges have sofened.

Abortion. Not long ago, I would have described myself as ProLife. I now clearly know that I'm ProChoice, with limits. (Unfortunately, my limits don't jibe with the law....but maybe someday.)

I can't name them all off the top of my head but Abortion, Gun control would be some.
To some degree, many of my former stances when I first started posting on this forum has changed.

I think if anything, I am better at articulating what I believe and why. I don't believe I have changed any of my opinions though.

Re: Have you changed any of your positions after posting here?

Not especially since I'm debating on DebatePolitics, but other political debate forums I've been visiting before.

Before I started debating online, I was much less skeptical of government intervention and wealth redistribution, especially when it comes to social safety nets. It's not that I am entirely opposed to it now, but I've been pointed to downsides, negative side effects and problems that come with it.

I'm not too happy with broad labels, but maybe you could say I've moved a little more from the liberal center towards libertarianism (by American standards). Doesn't mean I buy into hardcore libertarian ideology, but I prefer pragmatic approaches and am still skeptical of utopias, no matter if that are leftist or libertarian utopias.
