Which is better?

I would prefer to lick 'er in the front, so I'd also have to poke 'er in the rear I guess.

Is it bad it took me a while to get the poll?

Its a valid question if one is trying to lay out a pub. I think its probably better to have the liquor in the front since thats what most people go to those types of establishments for. But poker in the front could be an interesting twist.

Can't say I've been to too many pubs that even offer poker.

What if I don't have playing cards?

Well see I think that you should do poker in the front because you do not want people to know that your establishment is different. I mean hell a lot of places have liquor in the front and they never really experience the poker because they never get around to it. However, if your poker in the front than people will know to head back after they get their liquor.

Hmm. Liquor in front.

It's the bread and butter income, it's the portal to staying, and the portal to losing at poker.
For non poker players walking into a pub, and seeing poker first, could be a turn off.
For every pub visitor, poker and non-poker alike, seeing the liquor first works.

Lastly, a good bar with lighting, mirrors, all those nicely labeled bottles, makes for good decoration/centerpiece.

However, I've never seen liquor right next to the door, so if front means "right next to the door", maybe there are some issues with that for code or common sense that haven't been mentioned. Also, if the marketing shtick for the pub is that it's all about poker, obviously making that the centerpiece could be a better choice.

Poker up front, you're running the risk of major consequences. Whereas with poker in the rear can sometimes get messy, but there's a lower likelihood of long-term consequences.

Get me drunk enough and I'll poker just about anywhere.

I think it's definitely better to have poker in the front and liquor in the rear. Legal drinking establishments are common in the US, but legal casinos aren't. So if you have legal gambling, you should advertise it by putting it in the front.

See, all I need is the opportunity to poker and I'll liquor anywhere and everywhere. I might even beg a bit.

I'm just thankful anybody would consider me for a little stud.

I'm rather happy drinking or gambling at either end of the bar.

Just remember that you need liquor up front before poker up front. Doing it in reverse order is just gross.

I think liquor needs to come before poker regardless if its in the front or back.

Depends on th elocation of the liquor. Liquor up top is OK regardless of where the poker goes on.

So, you prefer to play poker in the basement?

Poker in the front, liquor in the rear
Bartender needs to keep his back towards the wall.
