If something violates another persons rights then it is *not* protected anymore.

But an international problems should be dealt with via an international board of people and regulation - discussion and decisions.
Gee - what's that called? Hmm *thinking*

We're stepping on toes when we assume on our own behalf that we are the only ones who have an opinion and who should act upon it. Europe is *right there* Why aren't they entertaining flex and might?

You're asking me why Europe doesn't act with more resolve? It's Europe. As an aside, I am not comfortable with the US submitting to any "international board of people". Other countries don't always have our best interests at heart. We're better off looking out for our own interests.

Any persecution of a minority or ethnic group, religious as well is not acceptable.

It's not necessarily that I'd support sanctions on the grounds of the persecuted being Christian, but if that group were being persecuted by the government, or if they were being persecuted by another group and the government looks the other way, that government is guilty of crimes against humanity, and I would support sanctions.

Exactly. Ergo - It should be taken care of within the international community as a whole - and within Egypt as a whole . . . if we want to be involved we should do it *with* them and not against them.

Sanctions might not work. . . and they most certainly will hurt countless of innocent people who have done no wrong at all.

Other countries (not America) might even think the same thing!

I doubt Christians are the world's most persecuted minority, since a comparably tiny number of Christians exist in areas where Christians are oppressed. The world's most persecuted religions would probably be one like Zoroastrianism, with relatively few adherents in generally oppressive regions.

If you notice something good in yourself, give credit to God, not to yourself, but be certain the evil you commit is always your own and yours to acknowledge.

That whooshing noise you may have heard was the point soaring over your head. Check post 14.

Do you have a link to support your claim that Christians are the most persecuted minority?
