I'm sorry but there is nothing "fundamentally stupid" about fearing the unknown. Certainly it is problematic to let such a fear dominate one's life, or to let the fear lead one to irrational conclusions, however fear of the unknown in itself is quite wise.

Vidal Sassoon products are what I peddle in the beauty shop I operate.

Poland once had a system that allowed foreigners to become monarchs. It didn't work out too well for the Poles.

Personally, I don't think foreign born citizens should be allowed to run for president. However if they were ever able to run for that office I wouldn't really care. I'm indifferent towards it I guess.

I think the idea that, if foreign-born individuals were allowed to run for President, a "mole" could become President is more than a little crazy. The time that would have to go into such a scheme, and the probabilities involved, are just completely off the charts. Plus, I'm not even sure how much a mole president could really get away with.

That said, I don't have a problem with the ban.

At the same time though a naturally born citizen could also be a mole. We have home grown terrorists and those who hate our country within our own populace as native citizens.
