Uniforms seem kind of pointless to me, just have a dress code, and leave it at that.

I support mandatory uniforms in all public schools.

Uniforms, definitely. The biggest advantage is cost. I went to Catholic School with uniforms. My kids went to public school without uniforms. My folks had it much easier, especially when it came to my daughters (4 of them). The girls always had to stay in fashion. Well... I guess my son did, too. Lmao...

Your opinions, please and thank you.
Uniforms make kids feel they belong, feel they are a member of an exclusive club, and gives them the incentive to keep their uniforms clean and pressed or-- look foolish around the other kids.

I think it would help kids be disciplined. Right now schools and students are failing and I primarily attribute it to culture and a lack of discipline. I support school uniforms but I would be ok with having a professional and modest dress code.

Uniforms don't make kids feel like they belong. There are still outcasts, kids who make fun of others, cliques, etc. Uniforms aren't some magical phenomenom that make all kids' troubles go away.

I don't see uniforms would help the kids be disciplined. All it will really do is make kids pissed off that they have to wear them.

I would not doubt in the least that in some certain circumstances, some certain schools, you will find such benefits. I also happen to agree that on the contrary it may be more of a surface patch to the problems, which may not be possible to solve. Perhaps I am too tainted by Rossi's declaration that the better the test, the more likely one will find that the effects were zero.

Uniform in schools is necessary if state want to get well-educated citizens, not drugs addicted illiterate sexual perverse leftist welfare receivers.
