I always thought you were more of a Nugent. So I picked the closest thing... radish.
Right, both say they are "left leaning" in some areas, so why the passionate denial at being referred to as the l-word? Why not say they are liberal in some areas?Yes, we have been over this and I can show you the post that clarifies your post.

Yet people have no trouble admitting they're conservative in some areas.Because being left leaning in some areas does not mean someone is necessarily a liberal. One's ideology could have that feature and be a centrist, fascist, moderate, or some other ideology.
Only a fool believes one is either a conservative or a liberal when there is a world of ideas and possibilities.

No, if you're willing to self identify as being liberal then you must truly be liberal. Nobody who sees themselves as anything other than liberal wants to be called liberal, which was my whole point in the first place.I am conservative in some areas. Am I a conservative?

Is it really possible to even be a "liberal in reality?" I thought liberal and reality were pretty much two mutually exclusive terms. LOLProof again that liberals are just smarter than every one else. Being liberal in reality is something to take pride in.

I think Redress kinda stepped on your point here.Only a fool believes one is either a conservative or a liberal when there is a world of ideas and possibilities.
By the way, I am a liberal, and neither TED not CC qualifies as one.
Good one.:roll::roll:And your post is perfect proof that Conservatives are as dense as a bag of hammers. LOL LOL LOL

I always sort of figured you were an equal-opportunity hater.
What's this radish business anyway?? You prejudiced against Rootebegas or something??
Here to. Rarely do you see someone do everything to deny being conservative, but you see people run from the liberal all the time ~ yourself excluded of course.
It doesn't matter if you lean to the left or to the right you are still Hitler.

Do I really need to spell it out? You posted that only fools identfy one as liberal or conservative, then along comes Redress and identifies herself as a liberal, even goes on to say liberals are smarter than everyone else. She didn't just step on your point, she kinda ground it into the dirt. How exactly did she do this?
You know why you see people calling people "liberal" more often than the reverse? Because calling someone liberal is a more effective insult.
Another apples to autos comparison. Liberalism is an ideology frequently seen as lacking in common sense. You know; suing McDonald's over happy meals and believing we can control the weather by turning off our air conditioners, things like that.Maybe liberals aren't stupid enough to think calling somebody by their ideology is an insult. It's like saying 'Hey Hatuey! You're a black guy!' is an insult. Well gee thanks. You've proven you can observe. Now go play somewhere.
I run from it becauseI'm just not the kind of guy to let someone have the easy out of labeling me and dropping me into a box.
- It isn't true, not by a long shot
- It is typically thrown at me by conservatives who feel that, by invoking the term, they are both insulting me and rendering everything I said irrelevant
